Located on the banks of the mighty Murray River, the twin towns of Echuca Moama are rich in riverboat heritage, tasty food and wine and towering river red gums stretching the banks of Australia’s longest river.

Australia’s paddle-steamer capital, the historic Port of Echuca was Australia’s largest inland port by the 1870s. It is the closest point of the Murray River to Melbourne and today is recognised as one of Australia’s finest heritage icons, retaining the largest paddle-steamer fleet in the country.

On the Northern Border of the River is the Regions hidden Gem, The Perricoota Wine Region. Perricoota is one of Australia’s newest emerging wine regions, located in the cooler climate of Southern NSW. The region takes its name from a grazing property established in 1840 on the banks of the Murray within the Region’s boundary.

Perricoota produces a broad range of grapes, but is predominantly consistent in its high quality production of red and white table wines for the export and domestic markets, along with some fortified varieties.

An easy 2.5 hour drive from Melbourne or Albury (the nearest regional airport). You’ll find plenty of places to stay, from camping and caravanning to motels and a golf resort or hire a houseboat set up home afloat The Mighty Murray River.

The Regions events calendar includes the world’s largest ski race, The Southern 80 and the Riverboats Music Festival both held in February. In May we celebrate Flavours of Echuca Moama Festival. In July the streets are filled with the sounds of Blues music for the Winter Blues Festival. October and November racing fans celebrate the Spring Cup Carnival and of course the newest event to the event calendar: Perricoota Pop & Pour Festival.

St Anne’s Winery

Overlooking our lake, our delightful Moama Cellar Door was constructed using the rare but traditional rammed-earth technique. Nestled amongst the vineyards right next to our winery, we offer tastings, cheese platters and amazing coffee from beans locally roasted at Echuca Coffee Roasters. Spend a little while tasting, strolling the lawns and enjoying the tranquillity of the place where our St Anne’s wines are grown and produced.

St Anne’s Vineyard produce a wide range of award winning wines. From delicate, crisp, dry whites to full bodied reds and all styles in between. Chief Winemaker Richard McLean selects premium vineyards from Heathcote, Bendigo, Port Phillip and Perricoota to make an amazing range of table wines. Whether your favourite wine is a crisp Sauvignon blanc, or an intense Heathcote Shiraz, or even a smooth warming Liqueur Muscat, St Anne’s have it covered.

Morrisons Riverview Winery

At Morrisons our philosophy is simple… Our team is dedicated to local produce with a balance of traditional and modern cookery. We adapt to the seasons and use them to guide us keeping the menus fresh and interesting all year round.

Our grounds are the perfect destination for any occasion big or small.

Murray Gums Estate

Our vision at Murray Gums Estate is to implement the best possible growing practices in which to produce the highest quality fruit.

Situated on the banks of Australia’s most iconic river system, the Murray River, Murray Gums Estate is comprised of two vineyard sites established in 2004 – ‘Block 1’ planted to Cabernet Sauvignon and ‘Block 2’ planted to Chardonnay. The rows run east-west, providing more shade and reducing the impact of any heatwave bursts during Summer.

The land along Murray Gums Estate is flat with powdery loam overlaying a deep clay sub-soil. A long, slow-ripening period and continental climate are characteristics of the Perricoota Region. As a member of the Perricoota Wine Growers Association, Murray Gums Estate is dedicated to
showcasing what this unique wine growing region has to offer.

Three Black Sheep | Mofro Wines | Mobar

The unique rural setting of Three Black Sheep and its stylish quirk are the perfect setting to enjoy MoFro Wines. MoFro have been growing premium grapes in the Perricoota Wine region for over 15 years, specialising in Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. After supplying grapes to St Anne’s, the region’s largest winery they’ve decided to hold back a small parcel of fruit to develop our own wine style. Giving birth to MoFro Wines.

Adding to the stylish quirk is MO BAR. A mobile bar that creates a great venue for any event…. Anywhere! MO BAR Includes a large outdoor deck, photo booth, entertainment system and much more.
